Cedega functionality x32 vs AMD64

Post one. Greetings

I like the sound of OpenSUSE and I'm going to give 11.2 a try. I plan to get the netboot iso and install over ftp. My only real requirement beside hardware compatibility is full cedega functionality (for lack of a better term). I'm running a 2gz AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ and would prefer to install the amd64 version but not if it will fuck with anything. Anyone have any experience in this dept?

EDIT: Hardware info

I don't believe that there is a cedega package available from SuSE themselves or other contributors to the build service (which was a surprise to me, but, hey, what do I know?), but this seems to imply that building it yourself is normal.

Just be aware that 11.3 is out next month when you make the decision to go for 11.2 now.

Hi,

I had never problems with wine or cedega on AMD64.

But - the proprietary NVIDIA 64-bit kernel modules are causing some clocking / IRQ troubles on my systems in the last time.

Check it out using a 64-bit live distribution from CD or the like. Run a game for a while and then check dmesg for errors. If there are none, install your system on disk.

greetings,
sumpfratte
