CD-RW and DVD-Rom seek error!

Hi,

im not sure what is wrong with my setup but you see i have a CD-RW and DVD-Rom installed. CD-RW is secondary master and DVD-Rom is secondary slave, when i put a movie disc to either one it says "seek error" not sure why this is happening btw this problem occurs in FC3 also.

any ideas guys?

thnx

hmm not sure what you mean by fukt, anyway if it means the ide cable is faulty then why the media cds are able to play in windows 2000 but not in Fedora Core 3 & SUSE-9.2? furthermore i was able to boot from either one, now i do think that it may be due to MPlayer or libdvdread or libdvdcss hmm i will try to investigate more into it.

thank you!
