May b it is some kind of stupid problem but it is getting me nervous
When i open a new window of any program (say tht i click on the kopete icon in the system tray) then it doesnt appear on top of all other windows, yet it appears in the system tray but highligted (like a flash to tell me tht the window is ready or something)
is there any settings tht could be chnaged to change tht issue ???
also I wish to have the icons opened by a double click not a single click, is tht possible ?
You need clearer subject lines for your posts, or people will just ignore them. "Browsing" could be anything - I thought it was an Internet problem to begin with. And of course it's "In Linux" - otherwise you wouldn't be here in the first place.
Also, you'll find that most online discussion forums (including this one) frown slightly on txt-spk - try proper sentences to endear yourself to potential helpers.
Finally, don't bump topics after half an hour of going unanswered - give it a few hours if it's really urgent, otherwise leave it maybe a day or so. If after bumping once my questions still aren't heeded, I try other forums - there are plenty out there.
I think your problem lies in KDE's "Focus stealing prevention level".
Find the KDE Control Centre (I have it in my K menu, but that's not 'out-of-the-box' behaviour) and take the following route:
Desktop > Window Behaviour > "Advanced" tab
You'll probably find that the "Focus stealing prevention level" drop-down at the bottom is set to "High" or "Extreme".
If you set it to "Normal" all should be well.
Just out of interest, are you continuing to use txt-spk simply to irritate me? I didn't mention it just to be grouchy - people really will be more likely to take time giving you a full and thourough answer if you take the time to ask your question in full sentences.
KDE Control Centre > Peripherals > Mouse > "General" tab
You should find what you need there.
I suggest going right through the control centre, customising everything to exactly how you want it. But don't change anything if you don't know what it is... that only leads to problems!
Meh...you can get used to reading those. In reality you only to have first and last letter of the word and the rest in the middle mispelled to read it. Sehitmong lkie tihs
