browsers very, very slow on suse why?

hey,

on Suse 9.1 as wel as 9.2 my browsers are extremely slow while my internet connection is very fast. Browsers on windows run like hell. Does anyone have an idea why this is?

I use a smc router with standard configuration, but as I said with windows there is no problem at all.

It also appears on a clean installation of Suse.

try to kill ipv6
in FF
in the location bar enter:
about:config
find
network.dns.disableIPv6
double click on ot so it will ne set as "true"

kill ipv6 system wide (you don't need it anyway)
open terminal window and su to root
next issue:
#echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf
#echo "alias ipv6 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf
