Browser security error in Mozilla and Thunderbird.

New problem. This window pops up when I open Firefox or Thunderbird.

Could not initialize the browser's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your browser's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you might see incorrect browser behaviour when accessing security features.

What is wrong. I checked the "profile.ini" and made it read/writable in my home folder. It still pops up again when I restart my browser.

HELP! PLEASE!

Never had anything like this. Did you try reinstalling?

I'm a SuSE 9.3 Pro user installed from the Novell retail package. I've been successfully installing Firefox as a SuSE supplied RPM and as a tar file downloaded from Mozilla. tar files were installed as a user, not as root. I've had no problems. What are the details of how your system was built and firefox installed. Perhaps your detailed process had an unfortunate result. Perhaps with more details, we can help.
