Banshee plugin...trying to install...no luck-help?

...at the Banshee home page I found an iTunes plugin that I wanted to install but when I issued the command given from their home page http://banshee-project.org/Plugins ...I get the following:

cmd = svn co svn://svn.banshee-project.org/trunk/banshee-itunes-plugin

the result (run from root) =

linux-2wrl:/home/linux_fan # svn co svn://svn.banshee-project.org/trunk/banshee-itunes-plugin
svn: Can't copy 'banshee-itunes-plugin/.svn/text-base/AUTHORS.svn-base' to 'banshee-itunes-plugin/.svn/tmp/AUTHORS.tmp.tmp': No such file or directory

...if the plugin I'm looking for has a web address why cant this cmd find it?
...running openSuSE 10.2
...thoughts/suggestions? thanks in advance

Well, my guess is because that's part of the unmaintained plugins. As it says there: "These plugins were started, led out into the wilderness of some sort of functionality, and then left to bitrot. They may or may not even compile. If you aren't a developer looking for a project, then you should ignore these plugins" I'm gonna try this at home later today and will let you know, but if what you're looking for is to buy music from iTunes Store, my recommendation would be to install Code Weaver's Crossover Linux: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxoffice/ and install iTunes through them, it works pretty fine to me.

thanks David Neo...

I've considered CrossOver until I found/heard about this plugin and thought I'd give it a shot...this is my second attempt at installing it...the first time I received errors relating to Mono not being installed on my system...but it is, version 1.1 so I dont know why it wouldnt work then. If you get a chance to try the plugin I would be interested in knowing the result...thanks for your reply/attention.

Why I didnt purchase CrossOver in the past...

...it's ranking is only at the Bronze level and thats with iTunes 4.0 (good luck finding that version - I believe the Windows version is at ver 7.0)...all the other apps that Crossover supports I have found compatible Linux apps...so I could never justify the cost for one app that "might" work.

Bronze ranking means =
The bronze is awarded to applications that install and run, and that can accomplish some portion of their fundamental mission. However, bronze applications generally have enough bugs that we recommend that our customers not depend on their functionality.

The most important aspect of a bronze application is that CodeWeavers makes a firm commitment to bring all bronze applications to the silver level in future releases of CrossOver.
