ATI 3D w/ 64-bit on SUSE? Anyone?

I have read various post on getting the 3d ati drivers working but it seems it's all on 32-bit.

I'm running SUSE 9.3 64-bit on an HP zv6000 Athlon 3200+ Ati radeon xpress 200M.

everything els seems to work (even WLAN w/ ndiswrapper) but have not gotten the Ati drivers to do anything... ( Ihave of course tried following the posts but with the 64-bit packages instead of i386)

Anyone has had any luck with 64-bit?

I assume you've got the manufacturer's drivers and everything? Sometimes you have to get the graphics driver separately because of copyrights, or something - I know I have to get my NVidia driver separately because they can't ship it with the Suse 9.1 release.
