Any difference? "Firefox.rpm" "Firefox.rpm.bin"

1. Is there any difference between a filename ending with ".rpm" and ".rpm.bin" ?

2. I tried to install the MozillaFirefox-1.0.3-0.1.i586.rpm ( filesize=7.5MB) and found out that a file is missing :
" libgssapi_krb5.so.2 is needed by MozillaFirefox-1.0.3-0.1 "

So I downloaded another Firefox file; MozillaFirefox-1.0.3-0.1.i586.rpm.bin (filesize=8.2MB) and the installation goes on smoothly,

Any idea what is happening?

A .bin is also an installer, it's just a little more automated. If you have a dependency issue, you will likely have the same issue with the .bin file. You should install the library that is required and then try the install.

thanks for confirmation that rpm.bin can be used as installer.

anyway as I had said earlier

.rpm (filesize -=7.5MB) cannot installed

but

.rpm.bin (filesize = 8.2MB) installed okay.

so for anyone experiencing the same problem with the .rpm file, just try to download the .rpm.bin and good luck
