After Upgrade To 10.1, Cannot Start X
I just upgraded to 10.1 using the repositories, and tried booting it up. Sadly, it does not go directly to kde, just the command line. When I log in and try to startx, it gives me these error looking messages
[R200Setup]Xversion mismatch - detected X.org 7.0.0.0, required X.org 6.8.0.0 [EE]Failed to load module "fglrx" [EE]No devices detected Fatal server error: No screens found I'm using a Radeon 9600, and was upgrading from 10.0 |
How did you upgrade? For some reason sounds like you just upgrades packages from a repository.

Do you have the following rpm? It should be xorg 6.9.0 for SUSE 10.1. Are you using the correct repositories?
xorg-x11-Xvnc-6.9.0-48 xorg-x11-6.9.0-50.17 xorg-x11-server-6.9.0-50.20 xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi-6.9.0-48 xorg-x11-driver-video-6.9.0-46.15 xorg-x11-fonts-100dpi-6.9.0-48 xorg-x11-server-glx-6.9.0-50.17 xorg-x11-libs-6.9.0-50.17 xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia-6.9.0-46.15 xorg-x11-devel-6.9.0-48 xorg-x11-fonts-scalable-6.9.0-48 |
