adjust display position

Would anybody know what I could do to move/resize my desktop?

Horizontal size appears to be OK, only the display is a bit too far to the left so that one side is partly hidden while the other one does not reach all the way to the end. The bottom is OK but the top is somewhat too high up.

My system has an ACER AL1951 LCD, Sapphire Radeon x300 and an ASROCK s939SLI32-esataII motherboard. The motherboard manual is very picky about vga manufacturers and advises against getting the x300 from anyone else but ATI; still, there is so much they advise against and most of it is nonse. But most o fall, I am experiencing none of this under Debian4, Fedora 6, Mandriva2007 or WinXP so I assume this is really specific to SUSE 10.2.

In X mode use xvidtune to make a proper modeline for your display.
