Question Activate Swap Space - Suse 10 Install

I was hoping to turn my useless old Win ME (the Worst OS i've ever owned!) computer into a happy wee linux box with a new lease of life!!

I get this error:

Your computer doesn't have enought memory to run YAST.
To contine please activate some swap space.

Computer Spec:

Pentium Celeron 667 Mhz
15Gb Hd
64 meg Ram.

My questions:

1) How do i activate some swap space?
2) Will it be very slow to use if it loads at all?

Thanks for any advice you may offer.

I think you should have min 256MB for installation.
Just use a different Linux distribution.

Which distro would you recommend for a machine this spec?
I'm still a newbie so i would prefer it to have a decent gui.

Thanks Keruskerfuerst.
