Accessing Windows Partition

Under Suse, I can't see either my Windows partition or my storage hard drive. My friend, however, can access his Windows partition and storage drive, though he can't modify the contents. (such as moving, adding, and editing files) We use the same version of Suse but his Windows partition and Linux partition are on seperate drives while my partitions are on the same drives. Can someone help me access my Windows partition and allow me to modify the contents?

your win os is more than likely on /dev/hda1
create a directory (I'll call mine /xp)

then
mount /dev/hda1 /xp

SuSE should already have a module named ntfs

It may not be loaded.

try
modprobe ntfs
then remount
You may have to specify the filesystem type.

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /xp

if your prompt comes back without an error then you can cd to /xp
or ls /xp
or whatever
