Unhappy A Strange Crash Between Amule And Ktorrent..please Help !

there must be a bug somewhere in the kernel or in somewhere else which make the pc hanging if you start amule and some time after ktorrent or viceversa in distro for amd 64,this happens to me in fedora 8 amd 64,suse 10.3 amd 64 and sidux amd 64 but doesn't happen in the i386 version of each distro.

I use only kde 3

Does this happen to someone else too in suse 10.3 ?

How could he fix it ?

Sometimes it's boring and frustrating..please help !

I'm gonna report it with bugzilla

cheers boys !

Thank you..so i'd better move to fedora 9 or suse 11 ?

i didn't move to them because i tried a live of kubuntu 8.04 with kde 4 and found it very unstable so i preferred remaining in kde 3 but maybe the problems lies just in kde 3..

Simply this: often, but not always,if i start amule and some minutes after i start ktorrent or viceversa, the icon of the the last program launched hangs and stop lighting, the screen hangs and it becomes unusable so i have to restart x server by ctrl+alt+canc if i'm lucky, othervise i have to reboot the entire system

it happens the same if i use azureus instead of ktorrent

other times, just as i launch amule or ktorrent as first program the icon of the program launched hangs and stop lighting, the screen hangs and it becomes unusable so i have to restart x server by ctrl+alt+canc if i'm lucky, othervise i have to reboot the entire system

Which DM do you use ? i see a kubuntu 64

Is kde4 ? is kde 4 already stable enough ?

My main desktop is an Amd 64 while all the notebooks are intel and all this doesn't apply to them

Thank you !
