Ok, one of the things that annoyed me about my Eval version of 9.2 was that I had to work to get media to play on my system after install. Both Video files and DVD's were left inoperable until I went out and corrected the problem myself.

Now, I'm trying 9.3 either way but I had a question about the Pro vs. the Eval version of the software.

Pro is MUCH MUCH larger so I know it includes a lot more but will I still be going out and shuffling packages to get my media working or will it work after install?

If it will play, I assume it is safe to believe that this is because it's the Pro version.

9.3 has the issue regarding commercial DVDs as 9.2. This has to do with very strong copyright laws in Germany. There is an unofficial xine site that provides the correct RPMs. Sorry, I don't have the URL with me but google can find it. If you have them, you can use the same RPMs that worked with 9.2. 9.3 adds a new wrinkle by not supporting MP3, same German reason. In this case you can use YaST to update this problem away. SuSE provides four optional multimedia packages that add MP3 back. I only loaded the first and it supports the most popular MP3 packages.
