9.1 DVD installation isn't finding source packages during install
 
Okay, I've got an evaluation copy of SUSE 9.1 Pro on bootable DVD. I have tried installing it to a virtual machine running on Microsoft's VPC software to test it out, and it installed just fine. However, when I try to install it to my hard drive for dual booting purposes, it does the system analysis and instead of suggesting software packages to install, it reports an error. Going in to manually choose software packages is a no go because there's nothing listed in there. I'm thinking that it may just be a driver issue with it not recognizing and mounting the DVD drive, but I have no idea how I'd force it to mount the darn thing. I searched the forums here and came up with nothing like what I'm having problems with. So, anyone have any ideas?

Try to boot with hdX=ide-scsi (X depends on what controller your DVD drive is connected to, usually c). See link for further information:
