Hi Guys,
I'm running SUSE 9.2 Professional with Gnome.
I can't seem to get the full 5.1 sound working properly. The three front speakers and bass speaker are working great but out of the rear speakers not a whimper.
My sound chipset is SIS SI7012 and the AC97 codec (think that is what it is) is Realtek ALC650E.
I am a little baffled by the Gnome Volume Control and the Alsa mixer, what sliders do I use here to control the surround sound output?
I have checked all the cables and prior to SUSE I had Fedora 2 installed and the 5.1 worked ok so I know that it CAN work with Linux.
Otherwise my two week old install of SUSE is just wonnerfull
