10.2 can't modify files on windows share through SMB
Installed Opensuse 10.2 on a Celeron 900 system - runs well. I browse the network to find a windows 2000 computer with a shared folder that is passworded. I enter the correct username and password and it lets me in, I can browse the folder, I can create new documents on that folder, but when I open up a document like a .doc into OpenOffice I get an error message that SMB is not fully supported and it is opening a local copy. I then can't save that file back in the shared folder, only a local copy. What is really weird is that I can then shut down openoffice, and copy that file across using the file manager.
Please help! I can do this fine with (I'll get shot for this) 'lesser' distribuitions such as linspire, but not the with mighty 'opensuse'. Please help.
