10.1 - slow bootup

Well I just read a review of SUSE 10.1 (LinuxFormat magazine). Apparently the boot up time is almost twice as long as 10.0.

Anybody know why? As great as the updates may be, I think I'd rather stick with 10.0. The boot times are slow enough as it is.

Yep the boot time isn't what it should be, but one can always suspend to disk to increase the speed.

No idea why it takes ages to load...

Make sure kpowersave is running. Right click the toolbar icon and the option will be there. Requires APCI and may not work depending on your mobo.
