10.0 beta 4 tiny niggle -- SAMBA shares don't display all the directories

Little tiny niggle I've found with Beta 4 --if you want to access Windows Shares from your Linux box the display won't always give you the full list.

It stops at numbers varying between 30 and 40 -- I'm certain there's nothing in the config files limiting the display

There's nothing special either with the files / directories that are NOT displayed. The SMB4K tool displays the entire list so I'm fazed by this one.

Anybody else got (and fixed) this problem.

It's only a minor irritant and I am testing a beta release but it does seem strange only to get a partial listing.

Cheers

Seems to be a firewall problem --started firewall, stopped it and re-started it again --now it's fine ???? even after re-boot. Maybe some initialising problems --who knows it's a beta !!. Working fine now --it's just that I don;t normally have to re-boot very often --We are not using WINDOWS !!.

BTW once you've started samba the networking browsing tool is pretty good too (on the KDE desktop after installation). --Works fine in 9.3 as well.

(Will have a good go with RC1 tomorrow and will the post a comprehensive review later --warts and all but so far I'm IMPRESSED with Beta 4 --never ever got SAMBA AND Printing to work so quickly before).

Cheers
