Jack won't start with Samson G-Track microphone
Hi,
It DOES start only in playback mode, but not in capture mode and, therefore, duplex doesn't work either. The odd thing is that it does work in Ubuntu 12.04 in duplex, but not in 13.37. The Samson G-track is a Usb powered pod type mic with an integrated soundcard. Thanks, J |
Sounds like you're having a lot problems. Maybe you should send the product back for a refund?
|
Perhaps at some point. But I don't like to give up that easily. And it seems pretty snappy and powerful and well designed.
|
It looks like your microphone should just work.
How are you selecting it? Are you going into JACK settings and clicking the arrow beside Interfaces? Have you changed any other settings? |

Please check the messages window for more info. I HAVE TRIED VARIOUS SETTINGS (changing to 44 Khz, forcing 16 bit, unchecking realtime, etc. ) ... doesn't work. I have also saved a session to the usb pendrive and rebooted so the G-Track sound device is the default. Makes no difference. ONCE AGAIN, PLAYBACK DOES WORK IF CHECKED ON ITS OWN. THANKS FOR ANY IDEAS. J |
Try entering "puppy pfix=ram" when the Studio 13.37 logo appears at boot, starting JACK, and selecting your device from the drop-down arrow beside Interfaces. Is it the same?
