Hey I wanted to thank you for everything! I got the replacement and was surprised to find the 32 bit version as well !

I do want to report, although I didn't have the same problem as I did before, both versions on separate computers did a "panic" on startup after a successful save file was created and loaded up a few times, then flaked on 3rd or 4th time. I used the default settings for all first shutdown procedure to create the save files initially.

I deleted the save file and was able to recover, but on both 32/64 versions, the same thing occurred after multiple fresh loads and creating save files again, panic after 3rd load or so.

I ended up creating the save file on the 888mb partition at 512mb size using legacy menu. Both 32/64 bit versions have loaded, saved and have not experienced the same issue with this configuration.

I would suggest pulling some random stock and seeing if you run into any of the problems I've had.

I already recorded 6 or so recordings on my 6 year old pos laptop! They sound great and everything was plug and play ease of use. I will be able to get several tracks published using 1337 in next couple months!

Is it possible that the size of your save files grew to be too large? That would probably cause what you are describing.

There's no warning when it is full, either. It's a known Puppy bug that people have been complaining about on the forum.

Hmmm, I did install flash player on one install and chrome on a different one. I know that one install said it had 7mb left and at shutdown the save actually failed.

I can't remember all the details, but moving it to the other partition on the thumb drive at 512mb fixed it.

I'm probably running into the bug you mentioned.

I'll keep you posted on my progress and success using your OS.
