ZFS and ufsdump
Hello,
Quick question for you guys. If I did a ufsdump of my machine; will the zfs mounts and data be there if I did a restore with the tape? Also: How can I recover from a "catastrophic" failure running zones on a zfs mount (meaning if all 4 discs fail on my T2000)? Would a restore from tape bring back everything? Assuming that I did a ufsdump? zfs and zones are really new to me and I just need a quick rundown (ie not a post that says "read this" and it's a link to a 400+ page pdf). Some quick and dirty rundown of what i'll need. Thanks. - custangro |

Use zfs send and zfs receive for your zfs backups. Quote:
