Who can help me to solve the internet connection failure in Sun Solaris 10?
Hello, everyone. I am totally new for Sun Solaris 10. Now I encountered a problem with internect connection. My problem is my internet connection is broken yesterday. The message shows: Please contact your system administrator to resolve the following problems: Cannot open /proc/net/dev: No such file or directory. Thank you for your help.
yes, you are right. There is no /proc/net/dev in my system. I am confused by the information.
By using : uname -a
it shows: SunOS unknown 5.10 Generic_137137-09 sun4u sparc SUNW, Sun-Blade-100
By using code: cat /etc/hostname.eri0
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/inet/ipnodes
The computer shows nothings with the first command.
The computer shows the same thing by using the second and third commend:
#
# Internet host table
#
127.0.0.1 localhost loghost
: : 1 localhost loghost
128.238.38.222 unknown #Added by DHCP
By the way, just now, I reconfig the system, the internet connection is still broken.
Hi, Bathory. Thank you for your help. Finally, I find my computer can connect to the internet. There maybe something wrong with the icon.
