STATS command output not showing detail information.

Hi Guys,

on one of our server I am NOT getting detail stats information output, some information is missing:-

As with SEVERAL of your other threads, we will suggest that you provide USEFUL DETAILS. You don't tell us what version of Solaris this is, on what kind of server, what's on it, etc. Posting output with no context tells us nothing.

Best guess: either the servers are different, or somethings not loaded that needs to be. You should contact the systems administrator with further questions, or call Solaris support.

Have you tried both commands on same machine OR different machines/hardware/OS OR this command is behaving differently or same system? BTW, I am not aware about stats command, so could you provide this command/package details, so I can give it a try on my Solaris system and check its output?

We have no crystal ball. /usr/local/bin/stats is not a Solaris command. You should either contact its author to get support or post its source otherwise, assuming it is a shell script.

And you STILL DO NOT TELL US WHAT KIND OF MACHINE IT IS...we have asked you MANY times in the past to provide details, and this thread is no different. What KIND of 'physical machine'??? Sun has things from desktop systems to huge room-filling servers...and amazingly enough, both are 'physical machines'...and both have VASTLY different capabilities/features.

As jlliagre said, 'stats' is not a Solaris command. And again, as you've been asked several times in the past...have you tried to look up that error??? Since you STILL don't provide details about your 'physical machine', the message indicates FC attached disk of some sort, with some sort of multipathing. Have you bothered to check your disks? Run ANY of whatever-multipathing-software-you're-using utilities to check things out?

And you STILL don't tell us where you got this 'stats' command from, or why you think the output is wrong. Have you actually looked at the script? Checked what it's doing? Run the commands manually to see what you get and why?? ANY diagnostics at all??

If you're having problems, contact your systems administrator at your site...they should be able to walk you through basic troubleshooting.

perhaps i can clear some confusion... i also work for a corporation and it seems like this script/program/utility was created by someone at your work place (not something generic to unix or sun-os). it seems like your work place has a team that should get questions like this (probably an email group mailbox in gmail/outlook).

Agree. I guess it's some shell script/function created by some individual to fetch some useful system information for their internal use. Since you're invoking it on two different machine, so obviously output will be different from both systems. So before any further analysis, provide us details of both systems (Harware, architecture, OS, version etc).
