I have a Sun Ultra5 on my network that I use as a apache webserver. It has Solaris 9 installed on it. Apache works and the machine is on my network and the internet(website works). The problem is DNS, if I try to go anywhere in Netscape on the Sun machine, all I get is errors. I have edited the following:
/etc/hosts/
/etc/resolv.conf
/etc/nsswitch.conf
/etc/defaultroute
I found a very good post on Sun.com (which I cant post the link too yet
). I did all that, still no beans. Other machines on the network are fine. I'm on Earthlink if that matters.
