Solaris 10 FTP

Hello all...

I have installed Solaris 10 and was found that it comes with an FTP server already on and configured. When you login with a user, you get full access to that user's home directory.

I was wondering how I can configure the server to have all the users login to one directory and then read and write as needed. Any other information regarding the server would also help me.

Thanks in advance.

I guess this can be achieved by using the "guestuser *" configuration line in ftpaccess, and creating a guest user account.
See man ftpd and ftpaccess for details.

Thanks, Jilliagre.

I figured since users automatically login to their home directory via FTP that creating a user for this specific task would be ideal. And it worked...I created the user and set the home directory to the folder I need the files in.

Thanks
