Sharing internet from ubuntu to solaris server
I have a laptop running on ubuntu 13 connected to wifi. My sunfire v100 is connected to my laptop with an ethernet cable of course. I tried messing around with it seeing if I could do it myself but I couldn't. I want my solaris box to use the internet off my laptop. How would I do this? I'm just starting to learn solaris.

That's more a Linux question than a Solaris one. There are various ways to achieve this, have a look to this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/In...nectionSharing

Thanks for the link to the iptables page! I think i got ubuntu setup but how do i setup the solaris client? The commands they have on that page for the client wont work on solaris because its ubuntu stuff. Thank you so much for your help!!

You are welcome !
What is the Solaris release you are using (cat /etc/release) and what is the name of the ethernet interface connected to the ubuntu box (ifconfig -a) ? |
