sendmail on solaris with no hostname & ipfw (or other firewall) tutorials

Shalom fellows,
I am running Solaris 10 on my laptop and it works like a charm. There are a few minor issues to be sorted out, so I seek your help.

Firstly I am having problems setting up my sendmail in Solaris. I am on a LAN with a DHCP connection and I am not able to set the hostname of my machine. In any case, I need to pretend to be another machine for sending out my mails (which is the name of my account in the Univ), so if there are good references to setting up sendmail for Solaris for this purpose, I would be grateful.

Secondly, I need to set up the solaris firewall. Are there any good tutorials/documentation for that? I googled for this, but I end up having a ton of material, most tailored for specialised purposes. Are there comprehensive docs on firewall setting up for Solaris.

Any answer would be greatly appreciated.
With regards,
Maidros

For the sendmail and hostname bit, you can always revert to using localhost that points to your loopback address. Or even try to make a fake hostname that redirects you back to your host.
