Unhappy Problem starting GUI with Solaris 10!


I have installed Solaris 10 as dual booting with windows XP. Installation is fine but its failing to start the XServer.

Mine is Celeron Processor( 1Ghz) , Mercury 810e mother board, 256 Ram

Iam not able to get the GUI in Solaris.
One more Problem is I couldn't boot windows Xp also..

Please anyone help me in this..

I hope you preserved the XP partition(s) at installation.

Which X server are you using ?

Any error messages ?

I dont remember the error message... but it is trying to start the XServer and I observered few screen flickers and then failing to start. Srarting with console only..

I have installed it in extended dos partition with 20 GB where winxp resides on Primary partition.. I could not start win xp also.

"X-server cannot be started at display-0" this is the error message Iam oberving..

Got it !!

Finally I got it.... Thanks for ur help..

I just Used sys-unconfig command in terminal and then restarted
It rebuilds ur system configuration from the scratch..

set ur monitor resolution propertly..
thats it..
