Minimum hardware 4 Solaris 10 x86
 

Will an 800 mhz or 1 Ghz machine w/1 GB ram be enough to run Solaris 10 with reasonable or good performance as a destop system considering that:

1. the user is a solaris newbie
2. The user doesn't know how to tweak Solaris
3. The user doesn't really have time to learn how to tweak it.

If not, what give good or better performance? 2 GHz? 3? 1 THz?

You are well above the minimum spec... make sure of the HDD space and the CPU type.
