Is there a Solaris equivalent to chkconfig

I created a script to run at boot up on Solaris 8 but I cannot run a chkconfig. Is there a chkconfig equivalent in Solaris 8?

You can get the chkconfig made for Solaris or Sparc architecture here: http://www.hklpg.org/RPM/solaris/RPM...9-4.sparc.html

Link mentioned above has been removed. If anybody has checked this link earlier, then please tell what is the solaris equivalent of chkconfig.

Thanks and regards,
Sanjeev.

late answer

I found this question on the internet, so maybe someone else will. There is now a Solaris equivalent to chkconfig called 'smf'

equivalent commands

service foo start == svcadm enable -t foo == /etc/init.d/foo start

service foo stop == svcadm disable -t foo
service foo restart == svcadm restart foo

Thanks aarone, and welcome to LQ.

Please note that smf is available starting from Solaris 10, so chkconfig remain useful for users still running Solaris 9 and older.
