Is Management interface detected by Solaris ?

Hi,

I have SUN 240 with 1 QUAD ethernet interface but also with a Management ethernet interface.

I would like to know whether the Solairs OS detects this management interface and how I can address it .

In /var/adm/messages I see bge0 till bge3 (= 4 port ethernet interface) with MAc address, but a search to "mac" and "ether" gave no further results.

Does this mean that the interface is not detected and cannot be used ?
What is the purpose of this "management interface" then ?

Is there a command that gives an oveveriew of all detected interfaces + their interface type (ex bge, qfe, ...) in Solaris without rebooting the box ?

Search on Sun's website for LOM and RSC, and you should get a few good hints to get started.
