Install Dell Inspiron 15n -- System Beep doesn't stop
I'm trying to install OpenSolaris (even boot to the live CD), every time I do though it start playing this incredibly loud beep through the system speaker.
this is a ram beeb that means a few things. your ram is wrong or not installed. your scsi connector for your floppy is backwards. you do have a keyboard connected on real old intel computers. you have no video card at all.
if it is a loud sream beep it is to late your AMD CPU did not have a fan and it melted.
theses are the beeps made at boot.
If they happens after the splash screen for installing the system then press the F buttons for alternate types of booting.
Good Luck
