How to set Display env variable in solaris

Hi All,

I am getting below error meassage while try to set DISPLAY varialbe.

$ export DISPLAY=IPADDR:0.0
DISPLAY=IPADDR:0.0: is not an identifier

$xhost +
ksh: xhost not found

Plz help me to set the DISPLAY variable.

$ #ksh -c "export DISPLAY=IPADDR:0.0"
$ echo $DISPLAY

Change your login shell from sh to something usable, like ksh or bash.
Append ":/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/sfw/bin" to your PATH.

If you really like to use sh for your shell, which I would not recommend, you would need to define the variable and then export it.

$ export DISPLAY
