how to increase /usr


Hi,

How to increase /usr partition size on sparc 8.0

That depends ...
Where is free space available (df -k) ?
How are you slices layed out (prtvtoc) ?
Are you using a volume manager ?
Is a long downtime allowed on your system ?
Are your backups reliable ?

HI,

its normal ufs and no volum manager stuff.
and we "should not " use software raid or such tools
its my own sparc so no problem , we can delete data.

So is it possible to increase /usr without using lvm or Raid tools
