How to increase the size of solaris on the fly

Hi

As I have Installed solaris on Intel Platfrom with 80 gb HDD. As I have created 10 GB for /opt as c0d0s4 slice. Also in my HDD there is 20 GB free space. Now as my /opt will fill up to 98 %. In that case can I resize the size of /opt slice without destroying the data.

if I will create a new slice from existing free space and by using growfs command or any command can I resize the /opt so that the total size of /opt will become /opt + New slice.

Thanks in advance

Rajan

You may be able to do that only if the slices are contiguous.

A better alternative would be using ZFS which solves all these partition sizing issues.
