Help using pkgrm to remove Firefox 3 Beta 3 from OpenSolaris

Hi,

I ran ¨pkgadd -d ./firefox-3.0.en-US.opensolaris-i386-pkg.bz2¨ to install Firefox 3 Beta 3 in /opt/sfw/bin. Now I would like to remove it before installing Firefox 3.0. But pkgrm is not working for me.

[code]
pkgrm -R /opt/sfw/bin/firefox
pkgrm: ERROR: bad device </opt/sfw/bin/firefox/var/sadm/pkg> specified
[/quote]

I have read the man page, search on Google, and tried many other combinations, but I keep getting a similar sort of error. Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The pkgrm command expects a package name, not a filename.

To get the package name, use:
Code:
# pkginfo -d ./firefox-3.0.en-US.opensolaris-i386-pkg
Then, assuming MOZfirefox is the returned name, run that command to remove the package:

Code:
# pkgrm MOZfirefox
