gcc question....on solaris....O_DIRECT

On a normal linux platform if I wish to open a block device in O_DIRECT mode to bypass host-side caching...I can pass this flag into the open() funtion. Solaris does not have that option defined into their implementation of open(). What would be a method to disable host-side caching on the Solaris platform?

Regards,
