Desperately need PUTTY for Solaris 10 x86


Hello -

Is it possible to download a version of Putty suitable for Solaris 10/x86??

I REALLY REALLY need one.

Why PuTTY in particular?

SSH, telnet, rlogin et al are at your disposal already.

Because Putty is more customizable than the Terminal Console.

It is? That would be news to me. I think you would have much better luck just asking how to enable the features you need,

That said, have you tried compiling the Unix version and seeing if it works on Solaris?

You might be able to build it from source:
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~s.../download.html

but I've never seen PuTTY available compiled for Solaris.

What sort of customisation do you need? We might be able to do what you need with the Unix tools.

I will just run the deafult Term Console. I had enough headaches with this at is.
