check for Sun Recommended Patch Cluster

Hi,

I would like to know how do i check if Sun Recommended Patch Cluster was installed ? Do i do a patchadd -p and then compare if one of the patch level matches the one in the cluster list ? Or is there an easier way ? Thanks

There is no easier way that I'm aware of.

Pretty much. You can download the patch list from SunSolve and then write a trivial script to parse patchadd output.

showrev -p appears to be much faster on my sol10 box, seems to be identical speed on sol9.

If you want speed just run an ls on /var/sadm/patch.
