[SOLVED] Cannot Enable HTTPS using 'Apache from sunfreewares' & 'bundled OpenSSL '

Hi,

I am using Apache 2.2.21 from sunfreewares. It has a mod_ssl.so within the modules directory.

Everytime I tried to load the mod_ssl.so into apache and then test the config using apachectl -t, it gave this error :

Code:

httpd: Syntax error on line 94 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: 
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_ssl.so into server: ld.so.1: 
httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/apache2/modules/mod_ssl.so: 
symbol SSL_get_servername: referenced symbol not found

The openssl is at /usr/local/ssl/lib and /usr/local/ssl/bin. I already tried to export it into LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH respectively but still got no luck.

Any help would be appreciated

I finally solved it by doing :
- downloading an openssl source.
- do a ./config shared
- do make
- and copy the lib*.so* to /usr/local/lib
