Xserver Errors w/AGP x2 ATI
 
Getting following error messages with XFCE as default desktop new slackware12 w/Default hugesmp kernel:

Xfce-mcs-manager: Fatal l0 error11
(Resource temporarily unavailable) on Xserver:0.0

Waitinf for Xserver to shutdown Free fontPath:FPE "/usr/share/fonts/misc" ref count is 2, should be 1;fixing

Trigerin udev Events sbin/udev trigger httpd could not reliably determine the servers fully qualified domanin name using 127.0.0.1 for server name

(xfwm4:3355): Warning**:The display doesnot support the Xcomposite extension Compositing manager disabled
Error: No running window found

What does this mean? I am successfully using ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra AGP x2, 32mb SDR,SGRAM1:1/SDRAM,ATI2DRAA DRV, Release ver 6.60-010926m-1476C-ATI in win98se pc100, 640MB w/ a Synaps 20.1" SXGA+ LCD 1600x1200@ vertical 60hz (non-Interlaced) No driver software .. DualBoot Machine

How do I modprobe video card?

Is ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP X2 video card compatible w/this version of Xfce? It shows up as compatible at xorg. Please
help. (ps. may have posted in wrong forum hardware 9/7. Please remove that one. Sorry)

check out my thread on using ATI cards with Slackware (see below)

you'll need to download the latest ATI driver for your system and then you may have to run it in a special way depending on it's latest bells and whistles. check out my thread for ideas on how to do this. but take my advice, get away from the huge kernel. it's great as a fall back but a pain to do anything with!
