XMMS problems
 

I am rather new to slackware linux, I used to be a die hard Ubuntu fan untill I got sick and tired of having issues with getting programs to work under debian, one of my friends suggested that I look at Slackware. I am happy and enjoy the system. Here is the problem with XMMS...\

XMMS version = 1.2.10
Slackware = 10.1 updated to current via swaret
Laptop = Dell 2650 with 256MB RAM

Here is the error that I recieve when I issue the command xmms& in aterm...
bash-3.00$ xmms &

Aborted

reinstall all of the a/ packages from 10.1
they are the base linux packages and have to be managed more closely than the others.
you can put a EXCLUDE statement in swaret.conf to prevent them from being automatically upgraded in the future.
