Why don't I have /.local/share/mime/packages

Fresh slackware64-13.37 install - Xfce 4.6.2
Do I have to manually create:
/home/user/.local/share/mime/packages
Or is there something wrong with my bash path:
export PATH="$PATH:$HOME/bin" ( from my bash profile)
I'm also getting a critical GTK Waring on shutdown,
Is this a slackware64 issue?

These are post install questions. Thanks

Shouldn't be necessary. I don't think that I have one.
