Where is SuperProbe?

Hello:

Can anybody tell where is SuperProbe available?

Thanks for your help.

Superprobe was removed from debian in July 2001. I think it is obsole way to detect hardware. Why would you need it?

From the Slackware online documentation Chapter 6. The X Window System
It helps to know as much as possible about your monitor and video card before using xf86config. You can get information about your video card using the SuperProbe program:

Code:

# SuperProbe

Unfortunately, Slackware Linux Essentials, The Official Guide To Slackware Linux by David Cantrell, Logan Johnson, and Chris Lumens, is out of date relative to the current (9.1) release of Slackware. I just moved from Red Hat 8 to Slackware when Red Hat bailed from the individual workstation world, so I don't feel I'm anywhere near enough conversant with Slackware to volunteer for the position of documentation update editor. Maybe next release. ;)
