Question What packages to install if all I need is Fluxbox?

Hey, I wondered if there is a list of package descriptions on the internet somewhere, im about to do a fresh install of Slackware on an old laptop and all I want to install is X11, Fluxbox, Firefox, a file manager and whatever is necessary to use my PCIMA wireless card (it works with Linux without using Ndiswrapper).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Krane whats up?

fluxbox is a great choice

if you have any experience with source
you could make fluxbox from source and make it look how you want by editing source

also, how to set background etc
feh, nitrogen, fbsetbg?

you gonna install sbopkg or src2pkg?
their invaluable

There are many how-to's out there on slack minimal install

fvwm-crystal is good DE. for fluxbox i would reckon Scite as the editor.
and midnight commander or any other 2 pane filemanagers. The idea is to use low resources.

goodluck.
