Want to install from USB CDRom
I wish to install Slackware on my laptop. The internal CDrom is broken, I have a USB CD writer, but my bios can't boot from that. How can I install using the USB drive? I have not seen a boot disk that activates it.
I have considered installing from the HD, but it has 4 GB, so space is a premium. I appreciate any advice. |
Grab the boot disk image from RUNT Linux which is a Slackware 9.1 bootdisk with the USB and mass-storage drivers enabled. This will let you boot from your USB device, even a Flash Disk.
