Touch-pad don`t working

I installed linux slackware on my laptop hp pavilion zv5000, but my touch-pad isn`t working.. I tried to connect normal mouse using usb but is isn`t working too.. Any suggestions how to fix the problem?
Everything works fine except that thing .

the touchpad on any laptop, IMHO, is synonymous to the PS/2 mouse and this is what the stock kernel sees and uses.

you didn't mentioned what you did before you noticed that the touchpad is not working.

well, actually when i started my X i noticed that my mouse and keybord don`t worked.
Then i copied xorg.conf to X11/ directory, and my keyboard began to wokr, but my mouse still not wokring.
