I'm a litlle bit scared of the linux alternative, i'd rather compile my kernel every day than instal a god damn lmule wich asked me a lot of dependencies

I love slackware but i just wished he had a package manager like red carpet or somerhing with gui a little bit user friendlyer than pkgtool

Does anyone tried to install Red carpet on a Slack, does it works, what about Open carpet

I know not everyone likes being 'babied' through package installs, and dependancy checks, but if it makes your life easier why not right?

Well check out swaret . It's a package management app that will install packages for you, and automatically check and download updates from a list of hard coded packages repositories. Hope that helps. .
