d00d don't be posting threads without detail .. they are useless to both
you and the rest of us on LQ.org ...
tell us exactly what your problem is .... because as far as i am concerned
the only thing you need to know is :
burn the images to disk
reboot computer
go into bios
set first boot device to cdrom
restart
computer boots from slack cd1
installation screen is now visible
follow on screen instructions
slackware is installed
so as you can see, with your informationless post, this is the
kinda response you will get ...

You plug it in to start. Know which serial port you are putting it into. What brand is it, does it use the Hayes set or what. Have you tried access the modem with a communications program? What do you want to do with this modem anyway, send faxes?
For more information, see: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO.html
Once you have some specific questions, perhaps someone can help you.
